During the mid-1970s, a pivotal moment for Glo-Quartz, Tom Strokes assumed leadership of the company. With a vision to innovate and diversify the product range, Tom introduced roll-reduced metal heating elements to the company's portfolio. As Glo-Quartz expanded beyond its initial focus on quartz immersion heaters, the introduction of roll-reduced metal heating elements showcased the company's adaptability and commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements in the heating industry.

As a final legacy, Tom pioneered a significant rebranding initiative in 2020. Recognizing the need to better represent the extensive range of heating products offered by the company beyond quartz heaters, Tom launched a new brand name: Heatmax Heaters.

Heatmax was involved in the metal plating industry since it sold quartz immersion heater products in 1952—and we’ve maintained a presence since. More recently, we re-focused our product development efforts to expand the metal plating heater range. Heatmax currently offers a full range of customized metal and PTFE heaters that are designed to meet the specific heating challenges of the metal finishing industry while maintaining the short lead times that our customers need. Today, Heatmax stands as a testament to George’s entrepreneurial spirit and Tom’s visionary leadership. With a rich history rooted in pioneering heating solutions, our company continues to evolve, adapt, and set new standards while honoring its legacy of innovation and quality.
