Accurate and Reliable Digital Temperature Control

The TCD Series features advanced digital temperature controls designed for the precise temperature regulation of open-topped tanks. As a combination control, they are also designed to operate the thermal protectors that come with our metal finishing heater range. TCD controls also offer large switching capacities, as well as the flexibility to operate in both single- or three-phase configurations.
  • Compatibility
Engineered to complement the SW, L, and TF Series, our digital temperature controls can operate any heater with a compatible thermal protector.
  • LED display
The TCD Series features an innovative LED display and touch button controls, allowing for precise control.
  • Versatile temperature range
The TCD Series features a wide and versatile adjustable temperature range, spanning from as low as -40°F (-40°C) to 999°F (538°C). This range provides unparalleled flexibility and precision in temperature control, catering to a diverse array of industrial heating requirements.
  • Manual reset for thermal protectors
When paired with the Heatmax resettable thermal protector (T2, T6, or T7), the TCD reset push button will reactivate the circuit after an over-temperature event, but not until the operator is ready to reactivate it. For instance, you may choose to activate the recircuit after the solution level has been raised to cover the heated portion of the element.
  • Control enclosure
The TCD Series design is equipped with a plastic enclosure with a IP21 rating, as well as with a gasket and Stainless Steel hardware.
  • Safety pilot light
The safety pilot light indicates an over-temperature situation has occurred and that the heater has been turned off. The light will not go out until the problem has been corrected and the reset switch is pushed to reactivate the control.
  • FEP sheathed thermocouple sensor
A 10-foot Type-J thermocouple is included as a standard, encased in Fluoropolymer (FEP) for enhanced durability. The FEP coating ensures prolonged usability in corrosive liquids. Longer lengths are also available.
  • Accuracy
Equipped with a teflon coated Type-J thermocouple, the TCD control accuracy is precise at 0.25% of the span 土 1°C.
  • Voltage
The TCD Series is available in a range of voltages, including 120, 208, 220/240, 440/480, and 600V.
  • Phase configuration
Each TCD control can be wired to operate with single- or three-phase power, making it simple and convenient to install.
  • Switching capacities
The TCD Series features substantial switching capabilities. With capacities ranging from 30 to 135 amps, it can manage very large or multiple heaters in a single tank. Limitations depend on the voltage available for the project. Speak to your Heatmax representative to find the best solution for your application.

Heatmax Model LLC-R provides automated heater shut-off in the event of a low liquid level situation. This offers protection against damage associated with low-level conditions.

To connect with the TCD Control simply wire the LLC-R in-line with the heaters thermal protector.

Remote mount probes are available in customizable lengths and alloys. The LLC-R detects a small current between the probes and deactivates the heater when the probes are no longer submerged.

  • Replaceable T1: Suitable for solution temperatures of up to 180°F (82°C)
  • Resettable T2: Suitable for solution temperatures of up to 180°F (82°C)
