Unparalleled Chemical Resistance and Longevity

Our TF Series fluoropolymer heaters are designed to meet the challenges of the metal finishing industry. The TF Series’ heavy wall (PTFE) fluoropolymer-covered Stainless Steel elements offer exceptional chemical resilience against acids, alcohols, detergents, solvents, and even reactive, corrosive chemicals. Their fully grounded construction, vapor-resistant polypropylene enclosure, and built-in thermal protector make the TF Series a reliable and efficient heating solution for the most aggressive chemical solutions.
  • Superior Quality: Every PTFE heater undergoes rigorous testing procedures to ensure top-notch quality and reliability before it leaves our facility, including a "Spark Test" utilizing electronic transmission to detect any nicks or cuts within the fluoropolymer covering. This is how we guarantee that a TF Series heater is 100% pinhole free when it leaves our factory.
  • Terminal Enclosure: Vapor- and flame-resistant polypropylene enclosure protects the unit’s internal wiring from corrosive vapors. The TF Series terminal enclosure comes with four feet of lead wire and three feet of conduit for convenient installation. Longer lengths are also available.
  • Thermal Protector: Every TF Series heater comes with a thermal protector (either replaceable or resettable), which is pre-set to turn the heater off when the solution reaches 180°F. Please note the thermal protector must be connected to a compatible control for safe operation.
  • Unmatched Versatility: Heatmax PTFE heaters unparalleled chemical resilience, making them a versatile solution for the immersion heating of almost any water-based solution. Talk to your Heatmax representative about the most cost-effective option for your solution.
  • Element Numbers: These heaters can be configured with either 3-, 6-, or 12-element configurations for efficient and cost effective heating of both small and large tanks.
  • Dimensions: Customize the immersion length and cold section to fit your tank. Our team can design an over-the-side heater sized to fit your space constraints while delivering the heat output you need.
  • Voltage: Our customizable voltage options range from 120 to 600 Volts, allowing for flexible adaptation to various power supply configurations and operational needs.
  • Wattage: Our PTFE heaters are limited to watt densities of up to 10 watts per square inch (W/in²). Various wattages are available up to 18kW. Unsure how much wattage your tank needs? Heatmax can calculate your application’s wattage requirements and recommend a heater that delivers it.
  • L-Shaped PTFE Heaters: The TFL Series is the L-shaped version of the TF Series, putting the heat at the bottom of the tank. Ideal for heating tanks with variable liquid levels, shallow tanks, or just tanks that need a lot of wattage. Available in 3 or 6 element configurations.

PTFE-sheathed immersion heaters are ideal for highly corrosive environments where chemical resistance and durability are critical. Common industries include:

  • Metal Finishing & Surface Treatment
    • Etching, anodizing, & electroplating
  • Semiconductor and Electronics
    • PCB manufacturing, etching & wafer cleaning processes
  • Chemical Processing
    • Chemical mixing tanks, high-purity acid baths, corrosive fluid heating
  • Pharmaceuticals and Medical Device Manufacturing
    • High-purity process heating, acid cleaning of stainless steel instruments and components.
  • Replaceable T1: Suitable for solution temperatures of up to 180°F (82°C)
  • Resettable T2: Suitable for solution temperatures of up to 180°F (82°C)
