LS SERIES: L-SHAPED HEATERS

• Designed for convenient heating of open topped metal tanks, L-Shaped Heaters are easy to install and replace with without needing to empty the tank.
• By placing heat at the bottom of the tank it provides more even heat distribution. The design is ideal for tanks with low or fluctuating liquid levels. 
• Built in thermostats, thermocouples and other sensors available for convenient installation and temperature control (Not UL Certified).
• Our LS Series heaters are intended for use in steel tanks, and they are not suitable for use in plastic or polypropylene tanks. For plastic tanks please see our L-Series range.

• Bottom Horizontal Length & Vertical Riser Height: Fully customizable to meet requirements.
• Watt Density: available up to 48W/in². Customizable to the needs of the application.
• Sheath Material: Incoloy 800, Incoloy 840, 304 and 316L Stainless Steel.
• Wetted Surfaces: All other wetted surfaces 316L Stainless Steel.
• Width and Number of elements: 3, 6, 9 and 12 element configurations available in horizonal and vertical stacks.
• Sludge Legs: Standard sludge legs keep elements 2” off the bottom of the tank and away from sludge build up. Longer lengths available.
• Controls and Sensors: The LS Series can be equipped with thermostats and thermocouple sensors (Not included in UL File).
• Enclosure Ratings: Type 4 Moisture Resistant and Type 4X, Outdoor/Washdown enclosures available.
• Convenient Connection: Terminal block and 1” NPT hub for convenient power hookup.

Element Configurations
Available in 3, 6, 9 and 12 element configurations so you can fit the maximum wattage you need in the space available. Element lengths customizable to fit in the space available.

Vertical Stacked Elements
A space saving design that puts the heater on the side of the tank, not the bottom.

Integral Thermowells
Built-in single and double-pole thermostats are available. These can be wired in-line with the heater where amperage allows. Otherwise available pilot duty for convenient control of the heater and solution temperature.

Gooseneck Horizontal Extension
For moving the terminal enclosure away from any vapors coming out of the tank.
